Dragon Slayer[Racial, Soul, Exclusive of any other racial class feat]: The character is able yo use Dragon Slayer magic because he was either trained by a dragon or infused with a Dragon Slayer lacrima at a young age. The player chooses one element or type on the Dragon Slayer's list, once chosen they are a Dragon slayer of that type and ONLY that type (Once the choice is made it is permanent).
This part is fine, Just make the list, as I mention later
The Dragon Slayer can "eat/consume" that element to regain lost HP or MP(Reiatsu if running a cross over game), on a 1-1 ratio for HP and a 5-1 ratio for MP).
Kinda broken, but not entirely. You have to define consumption in a different way. What constitutes eating your type of element? How much do you have to consume before you gain benefits? Where does this magical HP/MP calculation come from?
Dragon Slayer's gain the Dragon kind subtype, the Scent ability, +2 to all physical statistics, gain Dragons Hearing(Skill Focus: Listen that can be taken again) and a Dragon Slayer feat at first level and every third level there after.
What? You just basically gave the Dragon Slayer the Saiyajin Bonus to Smelling, the Human bonus to Statistics and the Namekian Bonus to Hearing. And you see this as balanced?
Dragon Slayer's are immune to their type in damage and affects of Dragon level and lower.
Immunities are something we tried to take out of Bleach D20. Notice that Immunities are temorary at best in this system, and never result in a permanent immunity. Should you have it where they can become immune to their element for X rounds/minutes per day, that's fine.
Roar of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer gains the breath attack of their chosen type which deals 1d6 per level . The breath attack is a 30ft line with a 1d4 round cool down and using this ability is a standard action.
Sounds legit. Just a note, most Breath Weapons in this system, especially after the rewrite (And because of the Henpuku) deal 2d6 damage + 2d6 damage per 5 ranks you have in your highest attack skill above 1.
Greater Roar of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Prerequisites: Breath of the X Dragon
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer's breath attack is now a 60ft line.
Coolio.
Superior Roar of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Prerequisites: Greater Breath of the X Dragon
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer's breath attack now deals 1.5 times their level damage as well as adding their types secondary effects.
Is there a list for this? What types are there? What are the secondary effects?
Sword Edge of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Benefit: The Dragon slayer makes a unarmed touch attack as a standard or
part of a full attack action. If the attack hits they deal an additional 1d6 per level they have of their type damage and sends the target 60ft up in the air if they fail a strength check with a DC of the Dragon Slayer's level plus CON mod plus 15. This ability cost's 100 Magic points(Reiatsu if your running a cross over game)
This feat is alright. I'd lower the Strength DC by about 10 points, but that's just cause I'm a nice person. Also, I'd lower the damage a little bit. 1d6 per level could become cheese, especially with the later feats adding to it. Maybe make it like Sneak Attack where it's 1d6 per 4 levels and you can take it again to make it every 2 levels instead.
Greater Sword Edge of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Prerequisites: Sword Edge of the X Dragon
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer now adds his CON mod in d6's to the attacks damage.
Alrighty, I guess this is balanced a bit. Espeically if they don't have a good Con Mod... But it could get out of control if you have a min-maxer in your party.
Superior Sword Edge of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Prerequisites: The damage of Sword Edge of the X Dragon is now 2x his level in d6's and his CON mod in d6's to damage. The attacks launch effect is now 120ft and adds the Dragon Slayers secondary effects to the attack.
I don't like this feat at all. It's completely broken. Just too much damage... Even with the Damage Cap rule, it's alot of damage. Especially since with your feats here, I'd focus on Constitution.
Wing Slash of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer makes a 60ft line dealing their level in d6's dealing their types damage attack with a CON based reflex save equal to their level plus CON mod plus 15. This attack costs 150 MP(Reiatsu if your running a cross over game) and takes a standard action to cast or can be done as a part of a full attack.
Same complaint as Sword Edge of the X Dragon
Greater Wing Slash of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Prerequisites: Wing Slash of the X Dragon
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer now adds his CON mod in d6's to this attacks damage also the range of the line attack is now 90ft.
Same Complaint as Greater Sword Edge of the X Dragon
Superior Wing Slash of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Prerequisites: Greater Wing Slash of the X Dragon
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer now deals 2x his level plus CON mod in d6's of their types damage as well as adding their types secondary affects also the range of the line attack is now 120ft.
Same complaint as Superior Sword of the X Dragon.
Iron Fist of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer 's unarmed attack now goes up by 1 BW per 5 ranks of unarmed attack they have above 1 and adds 2d6(except Poison Dragon Slayers they add 1d4 DEX damage with a CON based save for 1 DEX damage) of their type in damage and adds his secondary effects to his unarmed attacks critical hits.
Alright. This isn't bad. I mean it's a little powerful, but it's balanced by the fact that you only get so many feats... Does this stack with Supersonic Strike?
Greater Iron Fist of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Prerequisites: Iron Fist of the X Dragon
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer now adds 4d6(Poison Dragon Slayers now add 1d4 STR damage to his unarmed attacks) of his type in damage to his unarmed attacks.
Ok so this is like Greater X Blade. That's fine
Superior Iron Fist of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Prerequisites: Greater Iron Fist of the X Dragon
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer now adds 6d6(Poison Dragon Slayers now add 1d4 CON damage to their unarmed attacks) of his type in damage.
Superior X Blade without Zanpakutou Abilities is fine by me really. Especially since it takes up a feat slot.
Scales of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, SOUL]
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer now gains his CON MOD in natural armour and DR.
Alrighty. I like this feat. It's rather balanced.
Greater Scales of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, SOUL]
Prerequisites: Scales of the X Dragon
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer's scale bonus is now CON MOD in Natural Armour and DM.
Damage Mitigation is a powerful thing. I like that you've restricted it to Constitution Modifier...
Superior Scales of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, SOUL]
Prerequisites: Greater Scales of the X Dragon
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer's scale bonus is now CON MOD in Natural Armour and his CON SCORE in DM.
TILL you get to this feat. Which I can't really say anything about before the rewrite as Hierro does the same thing. The only complaint I have is that Superior Scales of the Dragon Slayer gives you Hierro and Murcurio at the same time basically.
Strength of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, SOUL]
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer gains +4 to his STR.
Note: Strength, Agility and Constitution of the X Dragon count as heroic attribute for feat prerequisites.
Greater Strength of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, SOUL]
Prerequisites: Strength of the X Dragon
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer gains +4 to his STR (total of +8)
Superior Strength of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, SOUL]
Prerequisites: Greater Strength of the X Dragon
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer gains +4 to his STR (total of +12)
Agility of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, SOUL]
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer gains +4 to his DEX
Greater Agility of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, SOUL]
Prerequisites: Agility of the X Dragon
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer gains +4 to his DEX (total of +8)
Superior Agility of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, SOUL]
Prerequisites: Greater Agility of the X Dragon
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer gains +4 to his DEX (total of +12)
Constitution of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer gains +4 to his CON
Greater Constitution of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Prerequisites: Constitution of the X Dragon
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer gains +4 to his CON (total of +8)
Superior Constitution of the X Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Prerequisites: Greater Constitution of the X Dragon
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer gains +4 to his CON (total of +12)
I'm gonna lump ALL these ...of the X Dragon feats into one category when I say... Just give them a feat called "Draconic Statistic Enhnacement" and call it a day. Make it grant a +4 bonus to one Physical Statistic and make it be able to be taken 3 times per statistic... Simple. Problem solved and you get rid of 8 feats.
Exceed Companion [DRAGON SLAYER, SOUL]
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer now has an Exceed as a Companion whose level is equal to 1/4 the Dragon Slayers minimum 1. This Companion does not count as a party member for Experience or as a cohort for leadership or similar feats.
Nice way to write Happy into this. Yes, I mentioned a character from the series... I have read some of it.
Greater Exceed Companion [DRAGON SLAYER, SOUL]
Prerequisites: Exceed Companion
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer's Exceed Companion's level is now equal to 1/2 the Dragon Slayer's.
This is fine too
Superior Exceed Companion [DRAGON SLAYER, SOUL]
Prerequisites: Greater Exceed Companion
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer's Exceed Companion's level is now equal to 3/4 the Dragon Slayer's.
This too. It's less powerful than Hollow Companion, so whateves.
Alternate Companion [DRAGON SLAYER, SOUL]
Prerequisites: Exceed Companion
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer gains an animal or bestial(centaur or something similar) companion instead of an Exceed. Must be taken when you take the Exceed Companion feat and can be used with it's improvements.
This feat is equally as balanced as the other companion feats, No complaints.
Dragon Force [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Prerequisites: 3BW unarmed , superior iron fists, superior roar and one other superior ability.
Benefit: The Dragon Slayer can enter a state of extreme power for one minute per day per level plus CON mod, this may be spread over multiple uses. Whilst in Dragon Force the Dragon slayer gains their level as an enhancement bonus to attack, damage, DR and the defenses. Whilst in Dragon Force double their current and max HP, multiply their MP by 5 and give them the Dragon Subtype.
The Following are doubled in Dragon Force
-The Damage die of all Dragon Slayer attacks and Abilities
-Double the AoE of all your Dragon Slayer attacks and abilities
-The Stats gained from 3rd Generation Dragon Slayer
-The Stats gained from Strength, Agility and Constitution of the X Dragon
-You are hasted
This is a little too powerful. I like it's flavor, but what I don't like is that it doubles everything you have, and doesn't give you any drawbacks. Also, you're hasted? It's like Bankai mixed with Final Form.
2nd Generation Dragon Slayer [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Prerequisites: Must of been infused with a Dragon Slayer Lachrima, level 1
Benefit: You are an "artificial" or "fake" Dragon Slayer in the eyes of some but your power is very much as real as an "old generation" or "real" Dragon Slayer.
This feat makes Dragon Force an at will ability when you take the Dragon Force feat.
Ok. This isn't too bad if you tone down Dragon Force to a managable level.
3rd Generation Dragon Slayer [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Prerequisites: must of been trained by a Dragon and had a Dragon Lachrima of the same type implanted in your body.
Benefit: By taking this feat you gain 3 stat points every two levels instead of 2 at every four(this applies retroactively) and if you already posses Dragon Force or acquire it later it becomes an at will ability. Note: If you had the second generation Dragon Slayer feat prior to taking this feat you gain one Dragon Slayer feat that you qualify for.
What's the drawback of this feat? Sealed and Evolutionary Dead End have the flaws that you never gain their more powerful abilities, and at least for Sealed, your Sword is useless... So what's the drawback here?
Bathed in the Blood of the Dragon [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Prerequisites: Must of killed a Dragon
Benefit: By killing a Dragon your Dragon Slayer powers become more potent. By taking this feat all of your Dragon Slayer attacks and abilities gain the Penetrating quality and you gain 10% extra exp from combat and 25%(does not stack with the previous 10%) exp from combat or challenges/adventures involving Dragons or Dragon Slayer opponents. Every Dragon you kill from here on out gives you 3 stat points to distribute amongst you physical stats.
Special: You gain this feat for free when you slay your first Dragon
Borked! Totally Borked! Granted I don't know how prevailent Dragons are in the Fairy Tail world, but just taking one down grants you 3 stat points? You could be looking at your version of Aizen very quickly if you have the right player min-maxing the shit out of his stuff. I'd get rid of the 3 stat points thing, and the Penentrating quality thing, and just leave it that if you kill a dragon you gain 10% extra experience from then on out.
Dragon Bulk [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Prerequisites: Dragon Force
Benefit: By taking this feat whenever you enter Dragon Force you go up in size. This feat may be taken once only.
That's fine. No complaints.
Dragons Claws [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Prerequisites: Dragon Force
Benefit: By taking this feat whenever you enter Dragon Force you gain two claws that deal 2d8BW(This is after the doubling of damage die from Dragon Force) that you can make full attack actions with as if you were dual wielding without the penalties.
Aiya! This feat is Broken! One More thing! Having 2 Claws grants you 2 attacks at your highest base attack bonus. One Mooore thing! You don't Dual Wield claws.
Dual Type [DRAGON SLAYER, MAGICAL]
Prerequisites: Must of consumed another type of Dragon Slayers magic.
Benefit: You can now enter Y/X Dragon Mode at will but only for that element eg:
Natsu can enter Lightning Flame Dragon Slayer Mode at will because he ate Laxus' Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic. Whilst in Y/X Dragon Slayer mode you gain the following benefits
-Half your level as an enhancement bonus to your attacks, damage and defenses
-The stats gained from your Dragon Slayer feats are multiplied by 1.5
-The damage of all your Dragon Slayer attacks and abilities are empowered
-Your attacks and abilities are considered to be off both elements thus you would use the lowest resistance they have for either element and if they have a weakness for one of the elements and a resistance to one you ignore the resistance and deal damage as if they were weak to it. In the case of Poison Dragon slayers and Iron fist of the X Dragon you apply the affects as if you had Iron fist for the X Dragon for Y element as well.
- Your Base max and current HP are multiplied by 1.5
-Your MP is multiplied by 2
Special: This feat stacks with Dragon Force so you would end up with 3x current and MAX HP, 7x MP, 1.5x Your level as an enhancement modifier, 3x the stat gain from your Dragon Slayer feats.
I'd say making Dragon Force a prerequisite for this wouldn't be a bad idea. That and maybe making 4[BW] a prerequisite wouldn't be bad at all, after all, this is a powerful ability.
MOTION SICKNESS [FLAW]
Prerequisites: Dragon Slayer
Effect: You are automatically sickened on any form of transportation, except a Exceed mount.
Special: This Flaw can be taken at any level because Gajeel later acquired this after training for the GMG. It also should be noted that so far only first generation Dragon Slayers have been shown to suffer from motion sickness because Sting was a first Gen Dragon Slayer before becoming a third Gen.
Nah, take away the prerequisites. Everyone can become motion sick if they want to.
This part is fine, Just make the list, as I mention later
The Dragon Slayer can "eat/consume" that element to regain lost HP or MP(Reiatsu if running a cross over game), on a 1-1 ratio for HP and a 5-1 ratio for MP).
