So something that the devs/mods on the discord have been discussing occasionally are the creation of guides.
A lot of the knowledge regarding this system is what we call in the call center business "tribal knowledge", which basically means knowledge that gets passed through conversation, and is likely not actually written down anywhere. It's a group of lessons and practices that get passed on through being in games together, and honestly a lot of the lurkers (we see you) wouldn't have the faintest idea of these notions without stumbling upon them like we did.
While as a whole we're trying to get better about reducing that, being good about the errata thread (we've been having convos about new erratas in the Staff Chat whenever we see an issue rather than temporarily changing it for a game) and updating content in the releases as a whole. However, this doesn't really support the things you guys wanna know, things like:
-Building theory
-How to make a competent character (for those beginners out there)
-Optimal Path-Weaving
-What constitutes a good character option
Of course, making a release addressing these things would become extremely dated, just look at our core book, and likely would become entirely useless as it wouldn't even provide features, options, or prestiges. That's why I'm planning to start a series that I (and the staff who want to) will be typing up guides to things like this in.
Naturally I have at least the first article planned to cover some things mentioned above. However, in the concern of getting a feel for what the community needs and wants (after all, it's for you guys) so that I may consider subjects for entries after the first ones, as well as for the other staff to try.
