(I mostly didn't know where to put this Star Wars Saga session, so I put it in the best place I could think for this.)
So let's set the mood here. Me and 3 others are in a Star Wars game. In this universe it's set 500 years after everything, this means clone wars, the main star wars, the books, everything. The Sith Empire is the current status quo, and the Jedi as we know them are either non-existent or whatever is left of them or their teachings is scattered across the universe. The other power is the triumvirate, the good guys of the game. These are made up of several parties with one goal in mind. To give the Sith Empire a bad time. And then there is our guys, 4 prsoners who happened to be on the bad end of planetary raids or happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Some of us have been imprisoned on the imperial cruiser for some time and others not so much. Somehow the alarms trigger and the prison cells open, and we're able to make our escape, and take down the singular guard on the prison block, grabbing what weapons we can. A rifle, a pistol, and a stun baton. We prepare for the coming Imperial Troopers, taking positions and starting our combat. The troopers turn comes, and the GM botches on one of the storm troopers. This stormtrooper ends up having a weapons malfunction, and puts a hole in the chest of the trooper in front of him. The shooting trooper goes into an existential crisis induced shock. We took out the guy still fight with relative ease, and put the last remaining guy out of his misery. The last party member was able to rearm themself. and we press on, with the promise that one of the party members had a ship to escape on.
We go on for a while, meeting no resistance, until we come to what looked like a mess hall. Dead prisoner bodies lined up along a singular table for cover. And there were 6 troopers blocking the only escape route. So with some luck we were able to get behind cover before the troopers opened fire upon us. This is where things got hairy(and in my opinion, funny.) We get our round of attacks done, with only 2 of us managing to hit. A couple stormtroopers get their shots off, but none of them manage to hit. The third one begins his round, and botches. This one stormtrooper's armor malfunctioned and exploded with damage equivalent to that of a thermal detonator. This killed the entire line of stormtroopers. We barely managed to stay out of that radius. Then the next set of troopers come in, these ones are the scarier ones, the ones that are supposed to actually to competent. We get our shots off then they start. It becomes a fest of no hits, with the exception of a couple good hits. Then my botched comes in with a blaster pistol. Now this is nothing new to me as of recently, however I got that one in a million chance. Her pistol was overloading and getting ready to explode, instead she manages to get it working and fired off the blaster at one of the guys. One of the stormtroopers starts setting up with a thermal detonator, and we're already talking about trying to shoot it. Luck was on our side again as that specific stormtrooper botched. His thermal detonator malfunctioned and exploded, killing him, and doing a fair amount of damage to the guy next to him.
We manage to get the last troopr down, and wouldn't ya know it? MORE STORMTROOPERS come in, ready to ruin our day. And that is where the first session left off.
