Here is a list of spells and rules my group have come up with to handle kido until the pdf is updated. We changed some rules on the wiki page and it seems to work better in actual game play.
- kido is a standard action not full round (since there are already rules for casting kido as a immediate action in the pdf)
- SEP is the same thing as Spell points
- You start the game with a number of spell points equal to your charisma mod, you do not gain more unless you take the enlightened feat or spellcaster
feat
- If you have knowledge (kido arts) you start the game with a number of kido spells from 1 list (Hado, Bakudo, or healing arts) equal to you
charisma mod
- If you have the spellcaster feat you gain access to spells from another list, you gain a number of kido spells per level equal to your dedicated
casting stat mod plus 1 for every time you take the caster feat.
- you can't spend more Sp on a kido then your level, thus you may be able to learn a level 9 kido at level 1 but you will be unable to cast it till
level 17.
- Kido may be augmented, by spending extra SP on them so they can be made more powerful. (again you can't spend more then your level)
IE: a level 3 caster, casting Mind Thrust could spend the spell cost ( 1 sp) up to 3 for 3d10 damage,
but could not spend more then 3 SP on the level 2 spell Recall Agony, since the spell costs 3 SP to cast so augmenting the spell would need 6 SP.
Spell cost by level:
Level:cost
1: 1
2: 3
3: 5
4: 7
5: 9
6: 11
7: 13
8: 15
9: 17
