In the year 20XX, Integrated-VR technology was perfected, and its release title was the largest video game release with millions of players logging on within the first 30 minutes of the servers going live. In what would be known as the "SAO Incident" 50,000 players would be trapped in the online game, with no hope for escape.
This would set back the VR market somewhat, allowing it to be bought out and privatized, but in the following decades the technology would be further perfected, and tweaked, into the current VR-System's Integrated Player's Harness. VRSIPH 8.9's OS has been praised as being bug-free and hack-proof, which has only generated additional hype for the VRSIPH 9.0 system, an upgrade which has been offered for free to all existing systems, and promises to be a true power-house for the market.
Your friend Kazui has been recently talking you guys up about the wildly popular game Bleach: The Blood Generation, which he loves more than any other game, and with the recent deal that ShiniGames is doing to commemorate the release of 9.0 are offering a package to anyone who registers an account with the 9.0 software on their system, it seemed like the perfect time for you and your friends to get accounts together.
However, something goes afoot when Kaz's character is beaten, but he isn't logged out of his VRSIPH. While it seems like KamiNet industries seems to be sweeping it under the rug, by paying for Kaz's medical expenses, you and your friends are going to have to find out what's happened, and the only way to do that is finding Kaz in-game.

Basically a VR-style game, when more stuff goes up for it I'll explain more about the in-game game's mechanics and what have you.
