And we're in for a re-re-re-re-re-reMIX!!!!
Since we last left our heroes on The Board they had a deadly confrontation, which resulted in Pirate Captain Darrel being defeated by his long-time rival "Steelknuckle" Jack's Haki. The Marines wouldn't revel in this victory for long, however, as the Orc Pirates would attack, killing Jack with some type of war machine. Defending Pinapple Island from these raiders would prove to be a trial, as they had many powerful members in the crew that they were using to lead the assault. After a lengthy defense effort coordinated by The Pineapple Marines and The Switchblade Pirates, it was discovered that the captain of The Orc Pirates wished to reach the island's heart, for Pineapple Island was not truly an island, but rather it had grown on the back of an ancient Sea King crab, that The Orc Pirate's captain wished to take control of for some unknown purpose.
Sent adrift, the parties left on positive enough terms, with the remaining Switchblade pirates being allowed to use a Marine lifeboat to leave. Returning to Marine HQ, Toru, the Warrant Officer of The Pineapple Island Marines, completed his Officer Training Course, and was formally promoted to Captain Toru, and the remaining members, as well as some other new seamen, were formed to make up The Dragon Company. Meanwhile, the pirates reached Kung Fu Island, after being contacted by The Yonko Whitebeard, as The Switchblade Pirates were members of the old man's fleet. Formally promoted to captain, though he chose to keep the original crew name, Genji became the new leader under Whitebeard's declaration, and the formal leader of Whitebeard's forces in The South Blue. Genji's first assignment was to track down and deal with The Orc Pirates, as Whitebeard suspected they may be making for a greater play, but had no means of discovering their stronghold at the moment.
Next, The Switchblades encountered an island, on which the residents were a group of pirate catchers, who would wait until The World Government's patrols would pick up their prisoners. While they were initially overwhelmed by the trap, Genji was able to defeat Mayor Arthur, a man who had studied Fishman Martial Arts. Through releasing themselves, however, they also freed the other pirates that had been under the island's control. To which, The Dragon Company arrived a short time later, forced to combat the pirates who had forcibly taken control of the island.
Meanwhile, The pirates came upon Torlal, an island which had been taken over by The Beautiful Rose pirates. The Beautiful Rose crew had managed to take control of the small kingdom through the use of genetically modified crewmen, and abducting the citizens for further experimentation. While the initial encounters between The Switchblade and Beautiful Rose crew left the former party in somewhat poor condition, the timely arrival of The Dragon Company would allow for the two sides to forge an alliance again.
Once the coalition worked to defeat Ken Scarlet, the captain of this crew, the two camps worked to leave the island in the best condition possible before leaving again, giving the pirate side a brief opportunity to meet Paps and San, two brothers who were the experiments/"sons" of Vegapunk's, who had briefly tinkered in creating artificial devil fruits by imbuing them into human bodies, to replicate existing powers, rather than having to make new ones, a process that Genji himself has experienced at one point.
The "King" of Torlal, however, was privvy to a partial map of The Grand Line which would lead them to The Orc Pirate's home island.
Meanwhile, The Dragon Company marines are engaging in intense training with Vice Admiral Tsuyu on the volcanic island of Toho.

Mayor Arthur: A man who presides over Nabu island, a powerful fighter who is of a similar par to Luffy (at least as far as levels go during the start of The Grand Line adventures). He is a type of bounty hunter who captures his targets, as on average, the pirate captains in The Southern Blue are of a similar par to that of the weaker captains throughout Paradise. Training under Fishmen, during his youthful tenure as a pirate, he has learned Fishman martial arts, and employs them despite his relative lack of physical might.
Paps & Sand: A pair of young boys who works in The Torlal Royal Military. These two seem to possess the powers of devil fruits, as they were artificially bonded to two existing fruits, in an attempt to determine what DNA that has been modified by Devil Fruits are to look like. Thus, they possess, currently, the powers of their respective fruits with none of the drawback.
Dallas Orion: A child from Nabu who met both crews, and was awestruck by both of them, in different ways.
