My group and I have stopped playing games with Experience, and instead level up when the GM finds it appropriate. This helps streamline things, and also increases the number of challenges we can have thrown at us each level.
This does create problems with systems such as Bleach Classless, where several different aspects are about XP specifically. (Weighted Clothes, Shin Learning, Reiatsu Draining Hollow Device)
I was hoping for some suggestions on how to remove the XP element, and still make some of the material interesting. So Far I have:
-Saiyan: ZENKAI: If you survive being defeated by an enemy, your GM may choose to increase your level by 1 to 5 levels
-Shin: Learning: As a Kai you specialize in helping others realize their true potential. By training under your tutelage, you may increase a single statistic of your student by 10% of your own same statistic. This bonus is a "Kai" bonus. You may increase only one statistic at a time with this training. The Training Requires 12 Months of time, -1 Month per point of your Wisdom Modifier.
Improved Learning: You now use 20% of the statistic being trained in. And lessent the required amount of training from Months to Weeks.
Kaioshin Training: You now use 50% of the statistic being trained in. And Half the time required to train.
Weighted Clothing: Each type of Weighted clothing worn gives you a -2 Penalty to attack, defense, and reflex saves that stack. Removing a single piece of weighted clothing takes a full-round action, that provokes AoO, but each confers a +2 bonus to Dexterity for the remainder of the encounter. [Pieces: Shirts, Pants, Gauntlets/Braces, Boots, Capes/Mantles, and Head-wear]
Wearing Weighted Clothing gives you a Temporary +1 Bonus to Strength for each month worn per piece (Max +6 with a Full Set). If it is removed to gain the bonuses in battle, this time period resets. This Cannot increase your Strength beyond 24. After 3 Years of wearing weighted clothing the bonuses become permanent. You can wear no more weighted clothing than your Strength Modifier +1.
-Improved Weighted Training Clothing: Raises Statistic Cap to 36. Select Dexterity or Constitution. Each month you may choose to increase that ability instead of Strength. You now need only 2 Years to make the bonuses Permanent.
-Greater Weighted Training: (Replaces Improved Gravity Training) Select Dexterity or Constitution. You may now increase Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution each month.
-Superior Weighted Clothing: Raises Statistic Cap to 48. You now need only 1 year to make the bonuses permanent.
